Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were represented with tiny precious stones. Neptune and Pluto are not included as it is hardly noticeable.
This astonishing piece was presented to the public this month at the annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva by Van Cleef & Arpels in partnership with Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw.
